Your Quality Metrics

Your performance on clinical quality metrics is becoming more public and has more financial impact than ever before. KentuckyOne Health Partners contracts are helping to narrow the focus so you can be more efficient.

We are leading the way on improving the health, care, experience and cost of our managed lives by way of narrow-focused, value-based contracts. We maintain a library of all clinical quality metrics required in any of our value- based agreements. There are nearly 200 metrics in the library.

KentuckyOne Health Partners has begun designing agreements with payers to focus on the ‘critical few’ metrics that will have the greatest impact on the largest percent of the population for which we are contracted.

We are able to do this through multiple means:

  • Getting the payer to measure and incent metrics that impact a large percent of the population (e.g. cancer screening, hypertension management).
  • If the payer is required to measure all metrics, then we encourage the payer to only incent metrics that impact a significant percent of the population.
  • And as always, the KentuckyOne Health Partners Board of Managers determines the distribution plan for each agreement so clinical providers will know in advance what metrics are being reported and incented.

In addition to our own efforts, we participate in state-level programs like Kentuckiana Health Collaborative, www.khcollaborative.org, where we share our metric library and encourage business leaders and government officials to narrow their measurement and focus.

On a national level, Don Lovasz, KentuckyOne Health Partners CEO, is on the Board of California Association of Physician Groups (CAPG), www.capg.org, which recently joined stakeholder groups across the health industry to release first set of core measures for use in quality measurement programs across all payers.

Soon you will be online and able to see your quality scores. One of our team members will be contacting your office to assist you with access to our Care Management System which includes our Provider Portal and Physician Performance Dashboard.  In the meantime, please feel free to contact Bryan Hughes with any questions at bryanhughes@kentuckyonehealth.org.
